Fall pictures & Apple Orchard

This month we have spent a few days looking at the beautiful Minnesota fall leaves & attending an Apple Orchard. First are some pictures at the Elm Creek Park Preserve in Maple Grove. The trails were wonderful and the leaves were amazing!

Now are a few pictures at the Deer Lake Apple Orchard in Buffalo. Sadie had a great time and was so photogenic!

Happy Fall Everyone and Thanks for looking!

Just a little somthing....

Here is a little something that I came up with from my cousin Heather's 18th Birthday that was back in February. I thought that it would be very sentimental to her to do a layout and give it to her since this is first semester at college...just a little something to get her through some rough times while she is away from home. For Heather's birthday, Sadie made Heather a necklace with her name on it, Heather absolutely loved it and wore it for her birthday! Heather says she even brought it to college! Sadie loves hanging out with all her older cousins, escpecially Heather! This was given to Heather while she was home this weekend from college! We miss you Heather!

Cards Galore!!!!!

Well.....It's been a while since I have posted any projects that I have been working on lately, so I thought I would share them with you finally! I have been more interested in creating cards lately and I think the reason behind it is because I love making something for someone that is handmade!       (oh and to use up some scraps!)
Happy Card Looking :-)

This is a Birthday card I made for a co-worker.
I found the layout from freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com

Here's a card I made for my husband for our 7th Anniversary.

This is one of 3 cards I made for "Grandparent's Day" (9/11/11)
These were made for my children's Grandparents.
(Sorry it's so blurry)

Here is another Birthday card I made for different co-worker.
This card was created with "Basic Grey's Sweat Threads" collection.

This card was made for the same co-worker above who just recently had her baby boy!
This card was created using "My Minds Eye Lime Twist" Collection

This is a "Thinking of You" card that was made for my wonderful
sister-in-law after her Grandmother passed away.
This was also made using "Basic Grey's Sweat Threads" collection.
Check out her blog also at myscrapsofmemories.blogspot.com

And I saved the best for last......
I was told last week that I should try to find a stamp and start
signing the back of my cards. So while I was garage saling one Saturday
I happened to find a "Handmade by" stamp! And guess how much I spent for it.....50 cents!!!!
I was so proud of myself!!! What a great deal! It's like it fell right into my hands!

I did make a few other cards, but unfortunately didn't get photo's of them. I am so bummed and I guess I learned my lesson.  :-)
Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed the cards.
Thanks for looking!

1st Grade

Hi Everyone,

I know it's been a long time since I have posted anything, so I wanted to quick post some picture's of Sadie's first couple day's of 1st Grade! As always, she was super excited to get to school Tuesday AM! Sadie's teacher's name is Mrs. Aubart and we are so excited for Sadie to have her as her 1st Grade teacher! Tuesday morning I was lucky enough to be able to go into work at 9am, so I brought Sadie to her 1st day of school so I could take some pictures.

I will be doing a layout soon of her first couple day's of school, but for now, here are a few!

 First Day of 1st Grade!!

Second Day of 1st Grade-Getting on the Bus!!!!!

On Sadie's second day of 1st grade, I brought Sadie to the bus stop so I could get some more pictures of her on her way to school.

I am happy to say that I am a proud mother of a 1st grader and a 9th grader! But unfortunately, my 9th grader isn't allowing me to take any photo's of him on his way to school. Maybe I'll sneak one in someday :-)

Thanks for looking!

Soap Box Derby

So here is a layout that I worked on while Sadie was napping on the couch on Thursday. I left work early to pick her up and decided that I would be productive! I wanted to work on a layout that had the banner for the title and had seen it done by my sister-in-law Jody, so I decided to give it a try. Take a look!

(1) 4x6, (4) 2x2, (1) 2x4

Here's the banner. Instead of using adhesive, I chose to use
brads. I took the string and wrapped it around the brad on
both ends and the used one in the center to separate
the words in the title.

I typed the story out onto a coordinating paper and cut them into strips.

Last weekend I had purchased the Basic Grey's Sweet Threads collection. I love this collection, it's so cute and girly!

Birthday Cards

Here are a couple birthday cards I have made within the last few weeks. Enjoy!

This one I made using the October Afternoon Collection.
This card I gave to my sister-in-law Jody for her Birthday.

This one is made with the Basic Grey Lemonade Collection.
This card I gave to a co-worker for her birthday.

I was happy to hear that both, Jody and my co-worker, loved their cards!
Check back later this week for more cards/layouts I have created!
